Store completed journals in a cool, dry, shaded place with stable temperature and humidity. Avoid bathrooms, kitchens, damp cupboards, direct sunlight, and tightly compressed shelves.

NOTERA paper is made for a considered writing experience and works well with many fountain pens, gel pens, rollerballs, pencils, and ballpoints.

Results can vary depending on the nib, ink flow, paper format, and writing pressure. The handmade 125 GSM paper used in selected NOTERA formats is substantial for everyday writing, but very wet inks or broad nibs may perform differently.

For best results, test unfamiliar ink on a final page before using it throughout the book.

Ghosting is when writing is faintly visible from the reverse side of a page. It is different from bleed-through, where ink passes through the paper.

Whether ghosting is noticeable can depend on the pen, ink, light, and writing pressure.

Fine-tip markers and pens are generally suitable for everyday use. Very wet markers, alcohol markers, paint pens, or heavily saturated inks may show through or affect the reverse side of the paper.

NOTERA handmade paper is designed primarily for writing, notes, sketching, and dry media. Light washes may be possible depending on the material used, but heavy water color, wet paint, or repeated saturation may cause rippling or affect the paper.
